Jason was able to stay at our home with Jessica, Lia, and daycare today. So, I was able to go along with Jackson (and the rest of the 1st grade students and teachers) on this fun field trip.
Here we are heading out the door. I was able to walk to school with Jackson and the rest of the "walking crew" this morning. It was a chilly 25 degrees! Brrrrr!
"Raise your hand if you've ever picked apples before" --was the statement made by Farmer Ferguson. Jackson did this trip last year with his Kindergarten class, which qualified him as an experienced apple picker this year!
On the tractor-wagon ride, heading up to the apple trees...
Listening to some helpful tips from Farmer Ferguson about how to correctly pick apples off the trees, and learning about how apples grow...
On the hunt for the perfect apple...
Enjoying our yummy apples while we ride back down to the farm!
While playing on the haystacks, Jackson notices the entrance to the haunted house...
...of course, we HAD to check it out! It ended up being perfect for young kids (and for "fraidy cat Mom" too).
Time to go pumpkin hunting!
Hmmm...Jackson needed to find just the right one...
And there it is! The perfect pumpkin. Small pumpkin. Good choice, Jackson! I would not have been happy trying to haul a large pumpkin home from school, on foot.
It was such a fun outing! Weather was little cold, but beautiful sunshine. I'm happy I could spend the morning with my little man!
