Carpet soft enough to sleep on!?

Well, at least that's what our 2-year-old daughter seems to think...

On those nights where Lia isn't quite ready to fall asleep the minute her head hits the pillow (which is happening more frequently now that daycare has started up, and she is napping on most days of the week), Jason and I will hear her little body quietly, yet busily, moving about.

It will usually take Lia several trips, to and from her bedroom to hallway, until she is able to accumulate the right amount of sleeping necessities.

Once Lia is content with the new sleeping arrangement she has created - complete with blankets and stuffed animals - she settles in, finds her fingers (yes, she still sucks those two fingers to soothe herself to sleep), and falls asleep!

Since Jason and I don't find this to really be a problem --after all, Lia does wait until brother and sister are asleep, she's quiet, and falls asleep.

We end up carrying her into her bed whenever we go to sleep. Simple as that.

If nothing else, we figure this may be good practice for future slumber parties when floor sleeping may be a requirement! :)
