that's right, Steggy went with us to Jellystone and was almost always within arms' reach of our dear little Jackson:).

This was taken after Jessica went wading through the lake water that was up to her chest. It was a little chilly that morning, so we got her a little more comfortable by changing her out of that wet shirt.

M & M pancakes anyone?

Jackson and I were laying in his bed this morning having a conversation about what we should have for breakfast. I thought pancakes would be a good idea; Jackson was thinking more along the lines of M & M's! So we compromised by making M&M pancakes...

Mmmmm! Yummy!


Of course Jessica enjoyed them too.


My attempt to make these pancakes somewhat nutritious using Fiber One pancake mix.

Fourth of July, 2009.

My Uncle Mark, Aunt Brenda, their kids: Lee, Kyle, Emily were in town for a visit over the 4th. We spent our time at Chris and Bob's house in La Crescent, golfing at Pine Creek in La Crescent, and at my grandparents' house in Winona. It was great to see this side of the family; we had such a nice time.

"Stegosaurus, I love you!"

Jackson has formed a pretty strong bond with his stuffed stegosaurus dinosaur, which he named, "Steggy." Jackson eats, sleeps, and plays with Steggy pretty much all day, every day. He even takes his stuffed dinosaur for walks. When I put Jessica in the stroller, Jackson will put Steggy in his little stroller and walk right along with me as we make our way around the block. Of course, we get plenty of looks, smiles, and waves once people passing by notice what is in Jackson's stroller.

Fun in the sun

Gymnekrickets!

Because Jackson enjoyed himself so much in the UW-La Crosse gymnastics class, we decided to enroll him in another gymnastics class this summer. This class is called gymnekrickets and is held at the La Crosse YMCA. The class meets every Monday for most of the summer. We have our fourth class tomorrow morning.




Jackson's friend, Paige, is also enrolled in this class.



We try to get there about a half an hour before Jackson's class so the kids can play in the Family Fun Center (indoor playground) at the YMCA.

A good scare to cure constipation??

I gave Jackson a pretty good scare the other day when we were playing. He came running down the hallway looking for me. I heard him coming and decided to surprise him with a little "scare." Hee-hee... such a naughty mommy I am :P
Anyways, I quickly slipped into one of the bedroom doorways and then jumped out in front of Jackson when he came running by. I said, "BOO!" He let out a scream, then laughed, and then quickly pressed his fingers into his butt crack and ran for the bathroom!
That's right, I scared the s**t out of my son...literally!
After he finished doing his business on the toilet, we shared a good laugh about the whole situation.

FYI - this surprise scare technique has also been used in our family for curing the hiccups, and has worked quite well :)
