Summertime rhyme
Mostly bare feet, or wearing flip-flops
--spending fun times with Grams and Grandpops
Golfing and parks and occasional bug bites
--friendships and sleepovers and too many late nights
Ice cream and popsicles and lots of grilled food
--"Please let Lia wake up in a good mood!"
Sunscreen and bug-spray and six dirty feet
--family outings, park playdates, and new friends to meet
Camping trips, Jellystone, and campfires with s'mores
--too many reminders to "close the doors!"
Busyness, baseball, and three weeks of school
--playing with neighbors and swimming in their pool
Trips to the library to get log books stamped
--zombie game with Dad to get the kids amped!
Detroit Lakes and swimming and fishing from the dock
--jet skiing and music, no need for a clock
Bumpy boat rides, tubing, and playing in the sand
--Dad's 36th birthday, visits from tooth fairy, and...
Its not over yet, only time will tell, we'll see
--but one thing is for sure, three lucky kids are we.
