It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, cry if I want to...

...you would cry too if it happen to you...

It is being woken up by a very fiesty and very stubborn little 2-year-old at 3:30 a.m.!
Yes, yesterday (March 22) was Jessica's official birthday, and therefore, I can now call her my 2-year-old.
And, I guess Jessica wanted to get up nice and early to celebrate her special day.

Between the hours of 3:30 - 5:30 a.m. Jason and I took turns trying to get Jessica to fall back asleep. But, our efforts were met with little a vail.

So, at 5:30, I came to the realization our daughter was way beyond a point of reason; she was SO tired, in fact, she had turned into a walking-talking-pile-of-crabiness!

I made the executive decision (since I was the one who was going to have to be home with her all day long) to "force" sleep upon our daughter. We went into her room, I read her two books, gave her a sip of water, and made her lay down.

Did she cry?
As Jason would say, "Does a bear sh** in the woods?"
...um, yep.
But, since she was so overly-tired, her crying quickly transitioned from being sad, to mad, to just plain delirious in a very short amount of time.

It turned into a brutal 45 minutes of "forced crying" before Jessica finally gave into sleep.

What a way to start your birthday, eh?

And, here's what our tire little 2-year-old looked like by 11:00 a.m. yesterday...

Nighty-night Jessie...

Here are a few pictures taken a few days prior, under more well-rested and happier times...
